Mission and Preamble of the American Legion Auxiliary<\/h2>\n

OUR MISSION<\/h2>\n

In the spirit of service not self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.<\/p>\n

Preamble<\/h2>\n

FOR GOD AND COUNTRY, WE ASSOCIATE OURSELVES TOGETHER FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:<\/b>
\nT<\/b>o uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America
\nT<\/b>o maintain law and order
\nT<\/b>o foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism
\nT<\/b>o preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars
\nT<\/b>o inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state, and nation
\nT<\/b>o combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses
\nT<\/b>o make right the master of might
\nT<\/b>o promote peace and goodwill on earth
\nT<\/b>o safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy
